Charging Equipment
Note: The 230 volt occasional use charge
cord takes between 10 and 11 hours to fully
charge an empty battery.
Note: The electrical source must meet
certain requirements for the high voltage
battery to charge. The AC outlet must be
230 volts, properly grounded, 10 amps (or
greater) and in good condition.
Note: If a dedicated circuit is not used, the
circuit breaker could trip or open. If a
dedicated circuit is not available, contact a
licensed professional electrician regarding
the installation of a dedicated outlet.
Note: Move the transmission selector lever
to position P before charging the high
voltage battery.
Your vehicle is equipped with a 230 volt
occasional use charge cord located in the
luggage compartment underneath the
carpeted panel. This allows you to charge
the high voltage battery using a standard
230 volt household outlet.
Make sure that the occasional use charge
cord is completely unwound before
charging. Always plug the cord into the
household outlet before connecting the
charging coupler to your vehicle charging
port. The occasional use charge cord has
an inline control box with four indicator
lights. These lights represent the charging
status (power, charge, fault and
emergency stop).
