1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - SAFETY

Thank you for purchasing this swimming pool heat pump unit HeatRelax
Hayward . This product has been designed in compliance with strict manufacturing
®
standards to meet the required quality levels. This manual includes all the
information you need for installing, troubleshooting and maintenance. Read
this manual carefully before opening the unit or performing any maintenance
operations. The manufacturer of this product will in no way be held liable for
any injuries to a user or damage to the unit resulting from incorrect installation,
troubleshooting and repairs or poor maintenance. It is essential to follow the
instructions given in this manual at all times.
After having read this manual, keep it for future usage.
Authorised personnel
• The installation, electrical connections, maintenance and repairs of the device
must be carried out by an accredited professional in accordance with the
regulatory texts and the rules of the art in effect in the country where the
device is installed (see § 3.4).
For any intervention on the cooling circuit, the professional must hold a
certificate of competence in handling refrigerants.
For France:
- Low-voltage electrical installation according to NF-C 15-100.
- Legislation on the handling of refrigerants: Decree 2007/737 and its
implementation orders.
Installation and maintenance conditions
• Do not attempt to install this device by yourself.
• This product was designed exclusively for domestic use and installation
outdoors. The air that escapes from the product must be able to flow freely
and must not be used for other purposes such as heating or cooling a room or
building.
• This swimming pool heat pump unit heats swimming pool water and maintains
a constant temperature; it should not be used for any other purpose.
• Check the power cable. If the power cable is damaged, it has to be replaced
by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or by a qualified and authorised
person.
• Grounding connection of the device and its continuity are mandatory. The
ground wire has to be longer than the other wires in order to prevent the risks
of electric shock in the event the cable is pulled out. The electrical installation
must be equipped with a differential protection of 30 mA (see § 3.4).
• Failure to comply with these recommendations will invalidate the warranty.
