Use with listed Valor models (see appliance manual for listing of these components
 WARNING
This kit must be installed or serviced
by a qualifi ed installer, service agency
or gas supplier. These instructions
are to be used in conjunction with
the fi replace main installation
instructions for the qualifying Valor
heater models.
These fl ex pipes are intended to be used for off sets and
bends between 2 pieces of rigid pipe/elbow or between
the appliance (equipped with a DuraVent collar) and
another section of pipe/elbow—you will require rigid
pipe sections in all cases to complete the vent system.
DO NOT CONNECT THIS FLEX DIRECTLY TO A VENT
TERMINAL!
Use of these fl ex kits does not change allowable vent
confi gurations—refer to appliance manual for allowable
vent confi gurations. A 90 degrees bend using fl ex is
equivalent to a 90 degrees bend using rigid pipe.
The appliance end of this fl ex will only fi t DuraVent style
pipe collars. The termination end of this fl ex will accept
other brands of pipe/elbow listed in appliance manual.
Tape all external joints including where fl ex meets
collars, using high quality, high-temperature, 2" wide
self-adhesive aluminum foil tape (Nashua 322-2 brand
or similar). Wrap the tape completely around all joints
and press fi rmly to seal.
DO NOT cut fl ex.
DO NOT run fl ex through walls, fl oor, ceiling or roof.
DO NOT run fl ex completely horizontal—maintain a
minimum 5% rise between end collars of fl ex section,
i.e. minimum 2" rise over 36" length and a minimum 6"
rise over a 120" length.
DO NOT use more than one fl ex section per vent
system.
DO NOT overstretch fl ex—stretch it only to length
required.
