Installation

Always wear gloves when handling and stretching
flex as there are sharp edges!
The collar on the termination end of the fl ex is
detachable to allow the inner and outer fl ex pipes to
be stretched independently of each other.
1. Determine the approximate desired length and
shape of the fl ex before installing.
2. Pre-stretch the fl ex to the approximate length
and shape before installing the fl ex to the
appliance or pipe.
DO NOT STRETCH the fl ex while it is attached to
the appliance or vent system as this could cause
damage.
DO NOT OVERSTRETCH the fl ex—stretch it only
to the needed length!
Be careful not to use too much force which may
crush or overstretch the fl ex. Always inspect the in-
ternal and external fl ex for tears (particularly around
rivets) after stretching fl ex.
3. After independently stretching the inner and outer
fl ex to the desired length and shape, secure the
outer detachable collar together using minimum 3
screws provided and seal all joints using foil tape.
