    BIOS Setup System BIOS BIOS (Basic Input and Output System) records hardware parameters of the system in the EFI on the motherboard. Its major functions include conducting the Power-On Self-Test (POST) during system startup, saving system parameters, loading the operating system etc. The BIOS includes a BIOS Setup program that allows the user to modify basic system configuration settings or to activate certain system features.
  • Page 6 Entering BIOS Setup Turn on the server and the monitor. If the server is already turned on, close all open applications, then restart the server. During POST, press DEL If you fail to press DEL before POST is completed, you will need to restart the server. The Setup Main menu will be displayed showing the Setup’s menu bar.
