  • Page 4 SAFETY INSPECTION - MAINTENANCE Your product is a precision product - proper care will ensure proper function. Regular cleaning will reveal loose or worn parts. DO NOT over tighten parts or hardware, as doing so can damage the frame. DO NOT operate the product if there are any missing parts or hardware.
  • Page 5 Assembly Instructions Included Items Allen wrench, flat wrench, folding hinge bolt, locking washer, nut (see Figure 1). Figure 1 Steering Column Assembly Carefully remove from the shipping box; remove all packing materials and locate the tools and hardware pictured (see Figure 1). The upper steering post will be separated from the unit for transport and will need to be attached to the frame before using the TKW.
  • Page 6 Attaching the Knee Platform The NOVA Knee Walker can be used for right or left leg injuries. The offset position of the seat provides better stability and increased foot clearance for pushing forward. When standing behind the scooter, the knee platform should be offset on the side of the non-injured leg (see Figure 7).
  • Page 7 Steering Post Lever Adjustment The lever located at the base of the steering column should secure the steering post tightly to the frame so that there is no play or looseness. The following steps (if necessary) will allow you to adjust the tightness of the lever if you find that it is either too hard to push down or too loose to hold the post securely.
