    When the front-end is a DHCP client, simply connect it to the network and network settings will be supplied by the DHCP server. Using a Static IP To assign the module a static IP, first connect the module directly to the computer or through a DHCP network as explained above.

    PC tray if the notification icon is switched on, and (b) on the module, when it displays the IP address 0.0.0.0. 2) Connect the PC and LAN-XI module with a standard LAN cable and wait until an IP address is obtained. The message that the PC may give about having limited or no connectivity (c) is an indication that the connection is working.
  • Page 7 1) Connect to the module’s home page by typing the IP address from the front of the module into your web browser. 2) Click Downloads. 3) Select LAN-XI under Step 1 and LAN-XI Software Updates under Step 2. 4) Right-click on the latest Firmware.lxi and download the binary firmware to any location on your PC.

    Installing a LAN-XI Notar License Installing a License 1) Insert the CD-ROM or connect the USB Memory Stick that came as part of the BZ-7848-A package. 2) Open the license.txt file in any word processing or text editor and copy the text string. 3) Connect to the module’s home page and click Recorder in the menu to enter the recorder.
