A spectrum analyzer with a 10 K input me-
mory and featuring three modes of opera-
tion. In baseband mode, 1 K time sampl~s
are transformed to produce a constant band-
width spectrum in 400 lines across a fre-
quency range which is selectable from 0 -
1 0 Hz to 0 -
20 kHz in a 1-2-5 se-
quence. In high resolution mode, the full
contents of the 1 0 K sample memory are
used to produce a times ten zoom, includ-
ing the possibility of generating a 4000-line
spectrum from a single 10 K sample time re-
cord. In scan analysis mode, a 1 K sample
analysis window is stepped along the 10 K
samples, with the 1 K samples selected
producing a new 400-line spectrum with
each step. This enables changes in the spec-
tral content of the 1 0 K samples to be ob-
served. All the results produced are dis-
played on an 11" calibrated display screen,
either with or without averaging to improve
the stability of analyzed results.
