Chapter 12. Getting support

This chapter provides information about getting help and support from Lenovo.

Lenovo technical support

After you buy a ThinkPad Tablet, register your tablet with Lenovo. Using the registered information, Lenovo
can provide efficient service when you call Lenovo for help, send notifications of free software and special
promotional offers, and contact you in case of a recall or other severe problem. Some locations offer
extended privileges and services to registered users.
To register your tablet with Lenovo, go to http://www.lenovo.com/register. Then follow the instructions on
the screen.
If you need help, service, technical assistance, or just want more information about Lenovo products, you
can either go to the Lenovo technical support Web site at http://support.lenovo.com or call the Lenovo
Customer Support Center directly.

During the warranty period, you can get the following services from the Customer Support Center:
• Problem determination: Trained personnel are available to assist you with determining if you have a
hardware problem and deciding what action is necessary to fix the problem.
• Lenovo hardware repair: If the problem is determined to be caused by Lenovo hardware under warranty,
trained service personnel are available to provide the applicable level of service.
• Engineering change management: Occasionally, there might be changes that are required after a
product has been sold. Lenovo or your reseller, if authorized by Lenovo, will make selected Engineering
Changes (ECs) that apply to your hardware available.
