    Remove the back of the remote and install two AA batteries. Plug in the TV. The TV is designed to operate on standard current, 120-volt 60 Hertz AC. Do not attempt to operate it on DC Current.

    Hook Up Over-The-Air Antenna and VCR Connect your off-air antenna and VCR to the TV. Locate the Antenna/Cable (In) jack on the back of the VCR. Connect the wire that runs from the antenna directly to this jack, according to one of the connection diagrams shown to the right.

    Hook Up Component Video The LG TV may be connected to a Component Video device like a DVD player or other component video source. To use this equipment you must use the optional LP702 remote control, refer to the Source menu on page 20.
  • Page 16 External Monoaural Speaker Hook Up Send the sound from the TV to an external speaker. To use this hook up, see your external amplifier instruction manual. Audio Output: Use the Matrix Out jack to connect an external monoaural speaker or amplifier to the TV.

    Creating Your Own Channel Labels Overview Channel Labels help the user identify the channel or network being viewed. In the Setup menu with the CH LABELS option highlighted, use the Adjust Left/Right arrow to scroll through the available channel labels, such as, A&E, AMC, ESPN, HBO, etc.

    Source Name This menu allows the user to rename the source names. Press MENU repeatedly on the optional LP702 Installer’s remote until the Source menu appears. Choose the Source Name using SELECT. Press ENTER, or the Left/Right ADJ arrow to go to the Source Name.

    Settings add 1200. For example, to set 6:30 p.m., add 1200 to 630, = enter 1830. For Auto Clock Set to work, the TV must be tuned to a local PBS station. If the TV does not set the time, set the clock time manually.

  • Page 47: Lt2000 Quickset Ii Clone Programmer

    Once learned from the master, setup data is retained in the LT2000 for future use. When using the LT2000, cloning operations will go easier if the TV set is connected to a good quality signal and operating with a stable picture displayed. To operate the LT2000, use the indicated keys on an HP602, LP702, or MBR3447LG remote, or the front panel keys on the TV receiver.
  • Page 48 TV to “teach” it the setup. A slow flashing green light indicates there is a problem with the communications between the TV and the programmer. In this case, check for a damaged cable, poor contacts, or other connection troubles.
  • Page 49 CHANNEL KEYS OR DIGITS. Since the Clone Programmer’s time cannot be set directly, the time needs to be copied from an LG TV equipped with M.P.I. Input capability. Once the time is copied to the Clone programmer, the current time can then be transferred to another TV.
