Acknowledging Faults

Switch-on after device-internal trip
If the motor starter trips the switching elements automatically, it will not
switch on again until
• the cause of the fault has been removed
• the fault has been acknowledged
Acknowledgement
You can acknowledge faults as follows:
• With "trip reset"
– Bit DO-0.3
• With a countercommand (e.g. "Motor off" (process image errors only))
• Automatic acknowledgement depending on the PO-0.3 "Autoreset" parameter
(only valid for temperature sensor errors)
Attention
If trip reset is applied constantly, the acknowledgement is triggered once by
edge triggering
If trip reset (output DO-0.3) is applied for longer than 2 seconds and there is
no general fault/general warning present, the self-test function is triggered.
This results in overload tripping with "Warn/Trip", depending on the
"Behavior in the event of overload - temperature sensor" parameter (PO-0.2).
