In close proximity to electrical appliances or in areas
where burns are common (kitchen, ireplace, hot water
appliance). In these speciic areas, use a smoke alarm
with a false alarm feature.
Maintain a minimum distance of 3m in humid areas such
as in the bathroom or in close proximity to dishwashers or
washing machines.
The smoke alarm must be installed at least 1 metre from
