Step 1: Clamp the workpiece to be copied between the
tips (2, Fig. 1). Pay attention to a firm and secure
hold. In addition, a board with the copy mold can
be attached to the template holders (3).
Step 2: The fine adjustment of the turning diameter is
done by adjusting the turning dial (4). To do this,
loosen the clamping bush and position the tur-
ning tool to the desired length.
Step 3: To set the correct height of the turntable, the ad-
justment screws (6) must be screwed in or out.
The turntable should be just below the turning
center (about 1 mm). To determine the height,
move the turntable to just below the tailstock tip
or spindle tip. Then tighten the knobs (7) to fix
the set height.
Step 4: Adjust the preload force of the spring with the ad-
justment wheel (5).
Step 5: Insert the mains plug of the lathe and turn on the
lathe.
Step 6: During the turning, the dubbing pen must always
rest against the copy form. Guide the turning tool
simultaneously with the lever (8). The feed takes
place via the handwheel (9).
NOTE
The specialized trade offers a large number of books
and information material, which explains the art of
woodturning extensively and with all techniques and
tricks.
