Configuring IP Information
1. Ensure a PC is setup and connected to the
switch as described in "Using the Terminal
Interface".
2. Log in to the terminal interface. The user name
must have read/write status. The default user
name is: admin and the password is blank (no
password).
3. From the Main Menu, select the Management
Menu, and then select the Network
Connectivity Configuration Menu.
4. Enter values for the following IP parameters
(provided by your network administrator):
v IP Address.............[
v Default Gateway.....[
v Subnet Mask..........[
5. Select APPLY. Return to the Main Menu and
select LOGOUT.
6. Power off the switch by disconnecting the
switch power cord at the power source, waiting
about 15 seconds, and reconnecting the power
cord to the power source.
The switch is configured with its IP information
and can be accessed remotely in your network.
7. Power off the PC and disconnect the null
modem cable from the switch.
Configuring Using Your Web Browser
You can use the Internet to configure the 8275-416
by:
1. Entering the IP address of the 8275-416 in the
address field of your Web browser and pressing
Enter.
2. Logging in using your user name and password,
and pressing Enter.
Note: The default Read/Write User Name is:
admin. The default password is blanks
(no password).
3. Clicking on items in the Navigation Tree causes
the corresponding menu screen to appear.
