aDjuSTaBle PreSSure CoMPenSaTeD (P.C.) valve rePlaCeMenT

Tools required:
Standard Screwdriver
Phillips Screwdriver
1/8" Allen Wrench
13/16" Wrench
3/8" Wrench
replacement Procedure:
1.
Using a standard screwdriver, remove the screw and handle on the Trend crank at the head end of the surgery
platform (see 1033–0++33–130 Tendelenburg Actuator assembly for part reference).
2.
Remove the base hood assembly (see Base Hood Removal).
3.
Remove the jack assembly (see Jack Assembly Removal and Replacement)
4.
Push down on the jack actuator to put the jack in the full down position.
5.
Using a 13/16" wrench, remove the adjustable P.C. valve.
6.
Check for any contaminants in the valve and in the jack base.
7.
Install a new P.C. valve. Moisten the O-ring seal with hydraulic fluid to ensure a good seal.
8.
Tighten the valve manually and then an additional 1/8-1/4 turn with 13/16" wrench. Do not over -tighten or damage
may occur to the O-ring seal.
9.
Reinstall the jack assembly
10.
To test the jack operation before returning the unit to service, pump the lift pedal to raise the jack all the way up and
depress the release pedal to lower the jack fully down. Repeat several times.
11.
Adjust the jack descent rate, if necessary (reference procedure above).
12.
Check for any hydraulic fluid leaks before replacing the base hood.

PneuMaTIC CylInDer rePlaCeMenT

Tools required:
Standard Screwdriver
3/8" Wrench
1/8" Allen Wrench
5/32" Allen Wrench
7/16" Wrench
replacement Procedure:
1.
Engage the wheel brakes.
2.
Using a standard screwdriver, remove the screw and handle on the lateral tilt assembly at the head end of the
surgery platform.
3.
Remove the base hood assembly (see Base Hood Removal).
4.
Using a 5/32" Allen wrench and a 7/16" wrench, remove the bolts and nuts holding the pneumatic cylinder(s) to the
fifth wheel assembly and remove the cylinder(s).
5.
Reuse the bolts and nuts to install the new pneumatic cylinder(s).
6.
Replace the base hood.
