Dual port support

Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v5 SAS drives have two independent ports. These ports may be connected in the same or different SCSI domains. Each
drive port has a unique SAS address.
The two ports have the capability of independent port clocking (e.g. both ports can run at 12Gb/s or the first port can run at 6Gb/s while the second
port runs at 3Gb/s.) The supported link rates are 3.0, 6.0, or 12.0 Gb/s.
Subject to buffer availability, the Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v5 drives support:
• Concurrent port transfers—The drive supports receiving COMMAND, TASK management transfers on both ports at the same time.
• Full duplex—The drive supports sending XFER_RDY, DATA and RESPONSE transfers while receiving frames on both ports.
