> Place the stabilizer on the wrong side of the fabric to be embroidered and
fix it in place.
> Place the outer ring beneath the fabric to be embroidered so that the
center of the embroidery motif and the center of the ring are approxi-
mately on top of each other. (Fig. 2)
> Place the inner ring with the Embroidery Template on the fabric so that the
marked center and the center of the template are exactly on top of each
other.
> Pretension the Embroidery Hoop by using the Twist Lock until the hooped
material is held in place lightly. To do this, turn the Twist Lock clockwise.
> Pull the fabric and the stabilizer gently and evenly taut in the Embroidery
Hoop.
> Turn the Twist Lock clockwise until the Embroidery Hoop is completely
fastened with a clearly audible click. (Fig. 3)
> Remove the Embroidery Template.
Attaching the hoop
> Move the Embroidery Arm in the «Hoop Indicator/Select Hoop» to the left
and push the hooped material over the Freearm of the machine.
> Attach the hoop. Refer to the instruction manual of the machine. Make
sure that there is no fabric under the Embroidery Hoop. For bags with long
handles, pin the handles in place.
> Select the Embroidery Hoop on the machine – «L-FA».
> If the needle position and the center of the Embroidery Hoop are not
aligned, calibrate the Embroidery Hoop in the Setup Program of the
machine. Refer to the instruction manual of the machine.
> Open the embroidery motif on the machine and adjust as desired.
Please note: Applications with CrystalWork are not suitable for this
Embroidery Hoop.
> Rotate and align the embroidery motif as desired. To do this, use the
function «Check Embroidery Motif Size» or, if available, the «Pinpoint
Placement». (Fig. 4)
Please note (only 8-Series):
> Remove the Embroidery Hoop before opening the Bobbin Cover, e. g. to
change the bobbin.

> Refer to the instruction manual of the machine.
