FIRST USE AND DAILY OPERATION
FIRST USE
When unpacking the appliance, take care to remove and

check all packing for parts as well as packets and additional
packing information.
Make sure that no parts or accessories are missing or defective.

Before using the appliance, clean the cooking surface thoroughly
*
with soapy water to remove any impurities from the packaging.
Dry thoroughly.
A new appliance may smoke and/or give off an odour when used

for the first time. To reduce the chance of smoking or odour, it is
recommended to allow the appliance to heat for

START-UP AND OPERATION
Place the appliance on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.

For each use, switch on the appliance and let it preheat for

The green light switches on when the appliance is powered up,

i.e. when the temperature adjustment button is no longer on the

" position. The red light switches on as the appliance heats
up. The green light switches back on when the set temperature
is reached.

Once the temperature is reached (green light on), use a brush or a

paper towel to grease the surface of the plate with sunflower oil.
Pour a ladleful of pancake batter in the centre of the plate and

spread it with the spreader.
Tip: dip the spreader in a water container and wipe it before each

spreading to remove any batter residue.
Wait for a few seconds and use the spatula to lift up a side of the
*
pancake and turn the spatula over to lift up the rest of the pancake.
Flip the pancake over and let it cook a few seconds.

Tip for buckwheat crepes: garnish the crepe directly on the plate

without flipping it over.

AFTER USE
To turn off the appliance, turn the thermostat down to the
