Safety rules - ROPS judgment

Purpose
Check against ROPS determination criteria and decide whether the machine corresponds to ROPS compatible
machine or non-ROPS machine.
The range of ROPS applicable machines is greatly affected by its own weight and boom.
ROPS test complies with its own weight (currently in 2014) when selectable option is installed at maximum.
However, depending on derivative machine and orders, its own weight and boom position may deviate from as-
sumed.
ROPS compliance determination criteria
Weight
The weight of the machine should be equal to or less than the weight given for each class.
If the weight exceeds, it may result in death or serious injury of operator due to the damage of cab when machine
falls down.
If the weight exceeds the values listed in the following tables for various classes, the machine is considered to be
out of scope for the ROPS evaluation.
ROPS compatible range should be equal to or less than the values given below.
(The following weight is shown on the decal in the ROPS cab.)
Total weight of machine: 16900 kg (37258.12 lb) or less.
