    USB Control of Camera To gain control of the PTZOptics camera, you will first need to connect the USB 3.0 cable to the camera and to a PC. USB 3.0 ports are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. USB 2.0 ports are not completely forward compatible with USB 3.0 devices.
