    Janam designed the XP30 Series to execute mission-critical data collection tasks in the enterprise. Every element of the product’s form and function has a purpose. For example, the XP30 Series’ custom, bright- white, monochrome display was created because it offers the same 160x160 screen resolution as legacy Palm OS products, thereby facilitating application migration across hardware platforms.

    To charge the battery: Important Note: The main battery charges the backup battery in the XP30. Once the main battery is fully charged, do not remove it from the unit for 24 hours. If removed during this period, the device cannot maintain any user data if the battery is removed.

    This is a normal function of the battery door removal detection switch; the reset will hold. Simply secure the battery door and the XP30 device will resume activity at the last screen. While there is no technical reason to rush to secure the battery door, you may avoid the power-down activity by quickly securing the battery door.
  • Page 12 ***CAUTION*** Make certain that you use the correct “bin file” for your device. If you use the BIN file for an XP20 on an XP30, or vice-versa, the unit will fail to boot-up. If you have any questions about this, please contact inquiries@janam.com.
