• IR communication is not possible.
• Is the mutual distance correct? (See the Operation Manual: "Beam Receive".)
• Are the IR communication ports on both units (transmitting and receiving ports)
properly aligned?
• Is data being sent from the sending unit after the receiving mode has been entered
on the receiving unit?
• Not sure what type of accessories and peripherals can be used with the
Zaurus.

About Communication between the Zaurus (SL-6000L/SL-6000N) and the PC
• The Zaurus is not communicating properly with my PC.
Check the settings on the Zaurus and your PC in the followings order:
• Check whether or not the operating environment of the PC being used is full. (See
the Start-up Guide: "Checking the Operating Environment" in "Installing the Software
on Your PC".)
• When you use the communication software with Windows XP/Windows 2000, log
on as an administrator. (See the Start-up Guide: "Limitations when using with Windows
XP and Windows 2000" within the above section.)
• When you have set or changed the passcode on the Zaurus, enter and save the
same passcode on the "Zaurus Manager" screen on your PC. Otherwise you will be
asked the passcode every time communication between the Zaurus and your PC is
initiated. (See the respective operation manuals for the applications such as Zaurus
File Transfer, Backup/Restore, Intellisync for Zaurus, Qtopia Desktop for Zaurus,
etc.)
• If you changed the method of connection in the "PC Link" application on the Zaurus,
you must also change the setting on the "Zaurus Manager" screen on your PC to the
same method of connection as on the Zaurus. Otherwise communication between
the Zaurus and your PC cannot be performed. (See respective operation manuals
for the applications such as Zaurus File Transfer, Backup/Restore, Intellisync for
Zaurus, and Qtopia Desktop for Zaurus, etc.)
• Make sure that the PC and the Docking Station are connected. Also make sure that
the Zaurus is fully inserted into the Docking Station.
