Connection to external audio component
If you would like to connect another audio device such as a
cassette player, Mini Disc player or a CD player, connect these
devices as shown below. If you plan on recording from your DV-
C200, make sure you select the proper audio output mode in
accordance with your connection. (see page 17, 18)
AUX IN jacks

Connect the component with RCA pin cables.
AUX IN (DV-C200) w LINE OUT (CD-R, MD, TAPE, etc)
Make sure to connect :
white plug w white jack (L: left channel)
red plug w red jack (R: right channel)
LINE OUT jacks

Connect the component with RCA pin cables.
LINE OUT (DV-C200) w LINE IN or "Record"
Make sure to connect :
white plug w white jack (L: left channel)
red plug w red jack (R: right channel)

DIGITAL OUT jacks

Connect the component with a coaxial cable or an optical cable.
DIGITAL OUT (DV-C200) w DIGITAL IN (CD-R, MD, DAT, etc.)
< Connect either OPTICAL or COAXIAL.
< When using DIGITAL OUT OPTICAL terminals, remove the caps
from the terminals. When you do not use them, leave the caps in
place.
< If the ANALOG is selected in AUDIO OUTPUT mode, or the
headphones are plugged in, the COAXIAL and OPTICAL will not
have audio outputs. See page 17 to select AUDIO OUTPUT type.
Power cord

< Be sure to connect the power cord to an AC outlet that supplies
the correct voltage.
< Hold the power plug when plugging or unplugging the power cord.
< When the cord is plugged in, a small amount of current continues
to flow to the unit, even when the power is turned off. Unplug the
power cord from the AC outlet when the unit isn't in use for some
time.
