Motherboard Connections
This section describes the jumpers, connections and LEDs on the motherboard and provides
pinout definitions. Some connections might not be used in this system. A motherboard layout
indicating component locations may be found in
Motherboard Manual.

4.1 Input/Output Ports

LAN Ports
There is a dedicated BMC LAN port (4) and two 10G BASE-T ports (7 and 8).
Unit Identifier SwitchW/UID LED Indicator
A Unit Identifier (UID) switch (10) and a UID LED indicator are located on the rear of the
system. When you press the UID switch, both front and rear UID LED indicators are toggled
on or off. The UID indicators provide easy identification of a system in a rack. The UID can
also be triggered using the BMC.
Note: The UID switch can also be used to reset the BMC. See details.
