Solving Projector Power Problems

If the projector does not turn on when you press the power button, try the
following steps until the problem is solved.

Check the following items.
• If you are using the remote control, check the batteries of the remote
control.
• Make sure the power cord is securely connected to the projector and
to a working electrical outlet.

Disconnect the cord and contact Epson for help.

When the Projector Lamp does not Turn on

If the projector lamp does not turn on when you press the power button, the
lamp may be broken.
Warning
• Do not swing or tilt the projector. Shards of glass may fall out and could cause
an injury.
• If any shards of glass get into your eyes or mouth, contact a doctor immediately.

Solving Projector Shutdown Problems

If the projector turns off unexpectedly, try the following steps until the
problem is solved.

Projectors may have entered sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
Perform any operation to wake the projector. To turn off sleep mode,
select Off as the Sleep Mode setting.

If the projector turns off unexpectedly, the A/V mute timer may be
enabled. To turn off the A/V mute timer, select Off as the A/V Mute
Timer setting in the projector's Settings menu.

When the status indicator is lit orange, the projector has overheated
and turned off.
The cooling fans may run in standby status depending on the
projector settings. Also, when the projector wakes from standby
status, the fans may cause an unexpected noise. This is not a
