5) Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is maintained.
OPERATING INSTRUCTION
TO APPLY WAX:
1. You can apply the wax of your choice to the surface of the vehicle or whatever surface you are polishing, by using the wax
applicator bonnet that comes with the polisher (not included in all models), or by hand using a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
2. Make sure the surface of the vehicle is clean and free of any dirt, debris, mud or any other foreign substance BEFORE you
apply the wax.
3. If you apply too much wax, it will become very difficult to polish. Please follow the directions that are supplied by the wax
manufacturer for the proper application.
4. If you are having trouble with the applicator pad coming off the buffing wheel, there may be too much wax being applied to
the surface you are polishing. Wipe some of the wax off the surface with a clean soft non-- abrasive cloth.
5. When applying wax with the polisher, use long, sweeping strokes and let the polisher do the work, do not press down with
the polisher as it will not operate effectively.
6. Be sure to use the cotton applicator bonnet to apply. The cotton bonnet, made of terry cloth material, is provided specifically
for this purpose (not included in all models).
7. Both applicator and polishing bonnets are designed to fit snugly and tightly around your polisher's buffing wheel.
8. If you cannot reach an area with the polisher, simply apply the wax by hand with a soft non-abrasive cloth.
9. For continuous operation, pull the on/off trigger and push the on/off locking button. To stop, simply pull and release the
on/off trigger.
TO BUFF/POLISH:
1. Make sure the wax that you have applied to the surface you are polishing, is ready to be polished.
2. Make sure you have replaced the applicator bonnet with the softer, polishing bonnet. There polishing bonnets is made of
synthetic wool specifically for this purpose.
It is recommended that the power to tool always be supplied via a residual current device with a rated residual current of 30
mA or less
The vibration emission level has been measured in accordance with a standardized test given in AS/NZS 60 745; it may be used
to compare one tool with another and as a preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration when using the tool for the
applications mentioned. Using the tool for different applications, or with different or poorly maintained accessories, may
significantly increase the exposure level - the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually doing
the job, may significantly reduce the exposure level.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Begin polishing in the same basic method as you did to apply the wax. Slow, long, sweeping strokes will give you a nice
mirror-like shine.
2. Do not press down when you are buffing/polishing, let the polisher do the work.
3. If you have too much wax on the surface you are polishing, it will take longer for your buffer/polisher to complete the job. Be
patient and do not rush.
4. Hard to reach areas can be buffed/polished by hand using a soft, non-- abrasive cloth.
5. For continuous operation, pull the on/off trigger and push the on/off locking button. To stop, simply pull and release the
on/off trigger.
Maintenance and Servicing
1. If you need to clean your polisher, simply wipe it down with a mild soap and warm water. Do not get any water inside the air
vent holes or submerge your polisher in water as this will cause damage to the electrical parts and the unit will not operate
properly.
2. Your polishing and applicator bonnets are reusable. For the best results and prolonged life, hand washing of the bonnets with
a small amount of liquid detergent is recommended or you can also use the gentle cycle on your washing machine. It is
recommended that you air dry the bonnets, however, bonnets may be machine dried on very low heat.
3. Do not leave the bonnets on the buffing wheel of the polisher when they are not in use, as this will stretch them and they will
lose their shape.
4. Store your polisher with the buffing wheel up. This will prevent any prolonged weight pushing down on the buffing wheel
which could cause it to lose some of its shape.
5. If the polisher needs repair, use only identical replacement parts. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE ANY INTERNAL ELECTRICAL
CONSTRUCTION OF THIS POLISHER FROM ITS ORIGINAL DESIGN. Bodily harm and/or injury can occur.
6. Replacement bonnets can be purchased at your local automotive / hardware stores.
7. If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this should be done by a qualified electrician/repairer.
