NZ/NZ-M and NZOS/NZOS-M Series
Wide-Open Monitoring Balance Stem Assembly Maintenance (refer to Figure 7)
1. Remove travel indicator assembly according travel indicator maintenance section if an indicator has been installed.
2. Loose male connector (key 75), remove sensing line (key 132).
3. Loose bolt (key 129), then remove balance bonnet (key 137), inspect the O-ring (key 130) for damage or wear and replace
if necessary.
4. Rotate balance stem (key 134), loose connection (key 135), and pull out of connection and bushing (key 133).
5. Separate balance stem (key 134) and bushing (key 133), inspect the O-ring (key 130) for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
6. Assembly balance stem (key 134) and bushing (key 133), apply moderate silicone grease to joint.
7. Apply moderate high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the outer thread of bushing (key 133), then rotate balance stem
(key 134), threading connection (key 135) with main stem (key 7, 1 inch key 89).
8. Lightly lubricate O-ring (key 17 and 19) and slide it over the bushing (key 133).
9. Install bushing (key 133) into upper casing (key 14).
10. Lightly lubricate O-ring (key 130), and put it into groove on upper casing (key 14).
11. Install balance bonnet (key 137), and tighten bolt (key 129).
12. Install sensing line (key 132), finally tighten male connector (key 75).
JP Series Pilot Maintenance
Filter Maintenance (refer to Figures 10 and 11)
1. Loose side cover (key 38). Inspect O-ring (key 69), replace it if damaged.
2. Pull out plates (key 46) and filter (key 43).
3. Clean or replace filter (key 43).
4. Reassemble by reversing the above sequence.
First stage Maintenance (refer to Figures 10 and 11)
1. Loose bolts (key 60), then remove spring cover (key 40) and spring (key 42).
2. Pull out first stage diaphragm assembly (keys 54, 55, 56, 62 and 64), then loose nut (key 62)
3. Inspect the diaphragm (key 54) and O-ring (key 70) for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
4. Pull out rectangular bar (key 48), then loose orifice (key 41). Take out O-ring (key 68), disk (key 39) and spring (key 44).
5. Inspect the rubber parts of disk and O-ring for damage or wear, replace if necessary.
6. Reassemble by reversing the above sequence.
Always remove spring (key 36) tension before performing maintenance on this unit. To remove spring tension, loosen
locknut (key 73) and back out adjusting screw (key 71) until compression is removed from the spring.
JPLO and JPHO Series Second Stage Maintenance (refer to Figure10)
1. Loose locknut (key 73) and back out adjusting screw (key 71) until compression is removed from the spring.
2. Loose spring cover (key 74), then take out spring seat (key 35) and spring (key 36).
3. (Types remote pressure loaded only) Take out O-ring (key 111,112),for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
4. Loose bolts (key 61), then remove upper cover (key 72).
5. Take out second diaphragm assembly (for JPLO Series: keys 50, 51, 52, 53, 57, 63, 108; for JPHO Series: keys 50, 51, 52,
57, 63, 108). Loose nut (key 63).
6. (Types remote pressure loaded only)Take out O-ring (key 113),for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
7. Inspect the diaphragm (key 51) for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
8. Loose sleeve (key 47), then take out O-rings (keys 66 and 67), disk (key 39) and spring (key 44).
9. Inspect the rubber parts of disk and O-ring for damage or wear, replace if necessary.
10. Reassemble by reversing the above sequence.
