Maintenance and Cleaning

● Only a suitably skilled and trained operator should carry out the maintenance and
cleaning work described in this chapter.
● Only the original materials and spare parts should be used to replace old or damaged
parts and to maintain the products warranty.
● Before carrying out equipment maintenance, the bath and all glassware should be
emptied and all electrical power disconnected.

10.1 Check the air tightness of the system

Close all valves on the equipment and turn on the vacuum pump (not included) to
evacuate the system. Then shut down the vacuum pump and observe the rate the
chamber pressure increases. If the pressure increases at a rate higher than 1 Pa/s there
is a vacuum leak. Please check the vacuum seals and hoses for leaks.
10.2 Cleaning of the main body of the crystallization reactor
The main body of the crystallization reactor should be cleaned regularly. After each use,
the inner wall of the crystallization reactor, the lid of the crystallization reactor, and the
filter bottom plate of the valve should be cleaned with a suitable solvent.
XI. Equipment Decommissioning and Waste Disposal
11.1 Equipment decommissioning
● Shut down the equipment.
● Disconnect the equipment's power supply.
● Remove all liquids from glass parts.
● Remove all glass parts.
11.2 Waste disposal
● The operator is responsible for the waste disposal in an appropriate manner.
● Waste disposal shall be carried out in accordance with local laws and regulations on
waste disposal.
