ALT H → altitude hold value set example 10,000ft
1. Engage "Value set mode" by clicking (green backlight active)
2. Click on "ALT H", we set altitude now
3. On the touch num keyboard click 0, then 1
4. Click ENT Enter
5. Switch off "Value set mode" by clicking on it's button (green backlight off)
The keyboard input uses always the following digit order: 1
would input 1 in the first digit, the resulting value would be 100,000. This is not our goal, so
we set the first digit 0 and proceed with 1 in the second digit, resulting in 10,000ft.
When you now engage ALT H, 10,000ft are reached and then held.
Be aware that when ALT H is engaged, A THR is automatically engaged with it to assure
that there is enough thrust for a climb. You can switch A THR off manually but make sure
to provide enough thrust for all AP maneuvers MANUALLY. If you leave A THR on, just
make sure that there is a reasonable value in his speed setting like 300. If the value is 0
for example the autopilot will reach and hold speed 0. That's a suboptimal flying speed,
the aircraft will crash.
HDG H → heading hold value set example heading 090°
1. Engage "Value set mode" by clicking (green backlight active)
2. Click on "HDG H", we set the heading now
3. On the touch num keyboard click 0, then 9
4. Click ENT Enter
5. Switch off "Value set mode" by clicking on it's button (green backlight off)
The keyboard input uses always the following digit order: 1
would input 9 in the first digit, the resulting value would be 900°. This is not our goal, so
we set the first digit 0 and proceed with 9 in the second digit, resulting in 090°.
When you now engage "HDG H" the aircraft will begin a turn in the correct direction and
hold the heading when it was reached. HDG H and W LVL can not be active at the same
time, since they could contradict each other.
All active AP functions can be switched off with one click by clicking on
the AP MAIN button. AP is switched off autom. below 6ft RADAR ALT.
