Possible cause
Valves leaking or blocked
Valves incorrectly installed
Suction valve or suction line leaking or blocked
Suction lift too high
Viscosity too high
Dosing pump set to zero stroke
Diaphragm return spring broken
Power supply interrupted
Suction side pressure too high (pump siphoning)
Diaphragm not screwed up to the end stop on the diaphragm rod
System back pressure too high (measured at discharge connec-
tion of dosing pump)
Media sediment in dosing head
Roller bearing defective
No oil in the gearing, or too little
Wrongly connected
Capacitor defective, wrong size or connected incorrectly
Pressure too high
Level pre-alarm
Level main alarm
Internal error

Remedy
Clean the valves and vent the dosing pump.
See also "Start-up"
Tighten the screw connections.
Reassemble the valves.
Ensure that the valve balls are located above the valve seats.
Clean or seal the suction line.

Set the stroke length adjusting knob correctly.
Replace the spring.
Switch on power supply.
Install a back-pressure valve on the discharge line.
Screw a new diaphragm up to the end stop. On MB/ME 50...76,
the support plate must be clamped firmly between diaphragm
and diaphragm rod.
Inspect the system. Clean blocked injection nozzle. Install pulsa-
tion dampers to reduce pressure spikes if pipes are too long.
Check that safety valves are working (see installation example).
Clean the dosing head.
Replace the roller bearing.
Top up the oil as described in "Maintenance".
Check electrical wiring.
Connect the capacitor correctly or replace.
Check the process.
Check the functions as described in section 8 (Encore
