GAUGE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT

1. When adjusting the gauge wheels, be sure to set both wheels at the same depth to avoid twisting of the ripper
frame and tractor's three-point hitch.
2. To adjust the gauge wheel raise or lower jack to remove weight from guage wheel pin, remove klick pin and
then remove gauge wheel pin. Use the jack to adjust the wheel up and down. When the wheel is in the desired
location, line up nearest set of holes, put the gauge wheel pin back in mount and reinstall the klick pin.
CAUTION! Once pin is installed, remove any pressure on the adjustment jack.
3. The gauge wheels should be used so that they carry most of the weight of the ripper bar during field
operation.
Set the tractor 3-Point depth control so the tractor tires carry the weight for traction and adjust the gauge wheels
to keep the chisel bar from rocking side to side.
CAUTION!
The Jack is not intended to carry the Gauge Wheel load during operating. Failure to install the
Guage Wheel pin will result in failure of the jack.

COULTERS
Adjust all coulters to the same depth. When setting the height,
allow for spring compression on the coulter arm. Fine adjustments
may be necessary during the first pass in the field.
1. The coulters attach to the front face of the front frame tube. The
coulter blade should align with the center of each shank.
NOTE: The center coulter mount differs from the other mounts as
shown.
