    Install Shear Bolt Trip Shank Assemblies on SLR Frame using four 3/4" x 6-1/2" bolts, lockwashers and nuts. Install Auto Reset Shank assemblies on SLR Frame using four 3/4" x 2-3/4" bolts, four lockwashers and nuts. Assembly Section 3-2 SLR5&7 02/02 © 2004 Alamo Group Inc.
  • Page 23 3/8” x 3-1/4” bolt and locknut. Install bolt so the threaded end is pointing toward mount to material build up on protruding bolt. See Illustration 3. 3.     1. The coulters attach to the front face of the front frame tube. The coulter blade should align with the center of each shank.   • Page 25 Once the coulter height is set, torque coulter rod retaining U-bolts. The correct setting of the coulter should minimize surface disturbance and maintain maximum residue coverage.     If equipped with automatic reset shanks, and a rock or obstruction is contacted the shanks will automatically trip up and over the obstruction and automatically go back into the ground by themselves without stopping.
