10.1 What to do if...
There are sounds which may occur during the operation of the appliance
(e.g. bubbling, whirring, cracking or clicking), which are normal.
Problem
The appliance does not op‐
erate.
The appliance is noisy.
Temperature indicator
flashes from left to right.
The lid does not close
completely.
The lid is difficult to open.
The lamp does not work.
The compressor operates
continually.
Possible cause
The appliance is switched
off.
The mains plug is not con‐
nected to the mains socket
correctly.
There is no voltage in the
mains socket.
The appliance is not sup‐
ported properly.
The appliance touches the
wall or other objects.
Temperature sensor error.
Food packages are block‐
ing the lid.
There is too much frost in
the appliance.
The lid gasket is dirty or
sticky.
The lamp is defective.
Temperature is set incor‐
rectly.
Large quantities of food to
be frozen were inserted at
the same time.
The room temperature is
too high.

Solution
Switch on the appliance.
Check if the appliance is
plugged correctly.
Connect the appliance to a
different electrical mains
socket. Contact a qualified
electrician.
Check if the appliance
stands stable. Refer to "In‐
stallation/Location" chap‐
ter.
Slightly move the appli‐
ance. Refer to "Installation/
Location" chapter.
Contact the Authorised
Service Center.
Arrange the packages in
the right way.
Defrost the appliance. Re‐
fer to "Care and cleaning/
Defrosting the appliance"
chapter.
Clean the lid gasket.
Contact the Authorised
Service Center to replace
the LED light.
Refer to "Control panel/
Temperature regulation"
chapter.
Wait a few hours and then
check the temperature
again.
Refer to the climate class
chart on the rating plate or
to the "Installation/Posi‐
tioning" chapter.
