Descaling comprises several steps and takes
approx. 70 - 95 minutes:
¡ Descale (approx. 55 - 70 minutes)
¡ First rinse cycle (approx. 9 - 12 minutes)
¡ Second rinse cycle (approx. 9 - 12 minutes)
For reasons of hygiene, the descaling programme must
be run in full.
If descaling is interrupted, you can no longer set any
operation. To ensure that the appliance is ready for op-
eration again, carry out 2 rinse cycles.
23.1 Preparing descaling
ATTENTION!
The length of time for which the descaler is left to work
is based on the recommended, liquid descaler. Other
descalers may damage the appliance.
Only use the liquid descaler recommended by us
for the descaling programme.
If descaling solution comes into contact with the control
panel or other delicate surfaces, it will damage them.
Remove descaling solution immediately with water.
Mix the descaling solution:

200 ml liquid descaler
400 ml water
Open the control panel.

Remove the water tank and fill it with descaling solu-

Once the descaling solution has been poured into

the water tank, slide the tank back in.
Close the control panel.

24  Drying
To prevent residual moisture, dry the cooking compart-
ment following operation with steam or microwave-only
operation.
ATTENTION!
If there is water on the cooking compartment floor
when operating the appliance at temperatures above
120 °C, this will damage the enamel.
Do not use the appliance if there is water on the
cooking compartment floor.
Wipe away any water on the cooking compartment
floor before operation.
24.1 Drying the cooking compartment
You can dry the cooking compartment by hand or use
the "Drying" function.
Allow the appliance to cool down.

Remove dirt from the cooking compartment.
2.
Wipe away the water in the cooking compartment.
3.
Dry the cooking compartment.
4.
To dry the cooking compartment, leave the appli-
ance door open for 1 hour.
23.2 Setting the descaling programme
Requirement: → "Preparing descaling", Page 35

Press "Cleaning".
Press "Descaling".
2.
The duration cannot be changed.
Press "Start".
3.
a A message stating that you should carry out the ne-
cessary preparatory work for descaling appears on
the display.
Confirm the message.
4.
a The descaling programme starts and the duration
counts down.
a Once the first part of the descaling programme has
finished, a signal sounds. The appliance prompts
you to carry out 2 rinse cycles.
To rinse the appliance, for each rinse cycle:

Open the control panel and remove the water
tank.
Thoroughly rinse the water tank and fill it with
fresh water.
Slide in the water tank and close the control
panel.
Press "Start" to start the rinse cycle.
a A signal tone sounds when each rinse cycle has
ended.
Once the second rinse cycle is complete:

Empty and dry the water tank.
