7. CONFIGURATION OF VIRTUAL DJ LE

When running Virtual DJ LE for the first time, you will need to configure the
software for use with your sound card. As a basic setting, one output channel is
routed to the sound card of the computer. Depending on the hardware and
software you have at your disposal, Virtual DJ LED can output two channels
simultaneously, a master channel, and a headphones channel to monitor each
of the decks via headphones even if the corresponding channel is faded out.
For the monitoring feature, a 4.1 (or better) sound card must be available in the
computer, or a corresponding audio interface.

7.1 Configuration using a 4.1 sound card (or better)

1
Verify that the speaker configuration of your sound card is set to either 4.1 or better channels. Use your
sound card's configuration application for this purpose. In Windows, make sure that there are no 3D
positioning virtual sound effects enabled on you sound card, as these are not useful for DJ applications.
Connect your speakers to the [FRONT] connector (usually green).
Connect your headphones to the [REAR] connector (usually black).
2
Call the software's configuration menu with the [CONFIG] button and configure Virtual DJ LE for
operation with your computer in the [Sound Setup] tab.
