Taylor   1 52   S oft   S erve   M achine   O peration  
 
1)   P lug   t he   m achine   i nto   a   p roper   p ower   s ource.   T he   m achine   r equires   a   d edicated  
110v   2 0amp   g rounded   c ircuit.   I f   t he   c ircuit   i s   l ess   t han   2 0amps,   o r   t he   m achine   i s  
sharing   t he   c ircuit   w ith   a nother   a ppliance,   i t   c an   t rip   t he   b reaker   a s   i t   d raws  
greater   a mperage   d uring   t he   f reezing   p rocess.   N OTE:   I deal   o peration   i s   w hen   t he  
machine   i s   p lugged   d irectly   i nto   t he   o utlet.  
 
DO   N OT   a ttempt   t o   o perate   t he   m achine   w hile   u sing   a n   e xtension   c ord   t hat   i s   e ither  
too   s mall,   o r   t oo   l ong.   I f   a n   e xtension   c ord   i s   u sed,   i t   m ust   b e   o f   t he   p roper   g auge  
(wire   t hickness)   t o   s upport   t he   p ower   r equirements.   I f   t he   l ength   o f   t he   c ord   i s   2 5  
feet   o r   l ess,   1 4   g auge   i s   a cceptable.   F or   d istances   o f   u p   t o   5 0   f eet,   1 2   g auge   i s  
recommended.   F or   d istances   o f   u p   t o   1 00   f eet,   d o   n ot   u se   a ny   c ord   w ith   w ires  
smaller   t han   1 0   g auge.   F or   n ormal   o peration,   d o   n ot   e xceed   1 00   f eet   o f   e xtension  
cord.  
 
2)   R eset   t he   m achine.   M ake   s ure   t he   p ower   s witch   i s   " Off".   T he   p ower   s witch   i s   a  
three-­‐way   t oggle   s witch   l ocated   i n   t he   t opright   c orner   o f   t he   d ispenser   a rea.   P ress  
the   r eset   b utton.   T he   r eset   b utton   i s   l ocated   i n   t he   t op-­‐left   c orner   o f   t he   d ispenser  
area.   I t   w ill   ' click'   w hen   p ressed   t he   f irst   t ime   a fter   t he   m achine   i s   p lugged   i n,   o r  
after   t he   c ircuit   b reaker   h as   b een   r eset.  
 
3)   F ill   t he   f reezing   c hamber.   L ift   t he   l id   o n   t op   o f   t he   m achine,   a nd   r emove   t he   A ir  
Tube   f rom   t he   H opper.   A dd   p roduct   m ixture   t o   t he   h opper.   I f   u sing   t he   b ag   o f  
product,   s et   i t   o n   t he   t op   o f   t he   m achine   n ext   t o   t he   h opper,   p eel   o pen   t he   b ag,   a nd  
pour   i t   i n.   A s   t he   m ix   f ills   t he   f reezing   c hamber,   b ubbles   w ill   b e   a ppear   f rom   w here  
the   a ir   t ube   w as   r emoved   ( about   a   m inute).   W hen   t he   b ubbles   s top,   r eplace   t he   a ir  
tube.   * At   t his   p oint,   m ake   s ure   t he   d ispenser   p addle   i s   p ointed   o utward*.  
 
4)   T urn   o n   t he   m achine.   T urn   t he   p ower   s witch   t o   " Auto".   O n   o lder   m achines,   t he  
freezing   c ycle   w ill   b egin   a s   s oon   a s   t he   s witch   i s   s et   t o   ' Auto'.   O n   n ewer   m achines,  
the   f reezing   c ycle   i s   s tarted   b y   q uickly   p ressing   t he   d ispenser   p addle   d ownward  
completely   a nd   r eleasing   i t   ( this   w ill   p ush   t he   s teel   p lunger   l ocated   b etween   t he  
reset   b utton   a nd   t he   p ower   s witch   u pward).  
 
5)   W ait   f or   t he   m achine   t o   c omplete   t he   i nitial   f reezing   c ycle.   T he   i nitial   f reezing  
cycle   u sually   t akes   a bout   8 -­‐10   m inutes.     W hen   t he   f reezing   c ycle   i s   c omplete,   t he  
machine   w ill   s hut   o ff   a utomatically.   T he   s oft   s erve   p roduct   w ill   b e   r eady   t o   s erve.  
As   p roduct   i s   d ispensed,   t he   f reezing   m echanism   w ill   b e   e ngaged   a gain.   M ix   w ill  
flow   f rom   t he   h opper   i nto   t he   r ear   o f   t he   f reezing   c hamber.   P roduct   f reezes   a s   i t   i s  
drawn   f orward   i n   t he   f reezing   c hamber   t oward   t he   f ront   o f   t he   m achine.
