13. MAKING A CALL

13.1 Placing a call and ending a call

To call a phone number that is not in your contact list, return to the home screen, use the keypad to 
dial the desired number, and press 
Tips:
- If you dial the wrong number, delete the incorrect digits by pressing 
- You can save the dialed number to your contact list by selecting Options > Create New Contact.
To  call  a  phone  number  that  is  in  your  contact  list,  go  to MENU > Contacts, select the desired
contact from your contact list, and press 
To end a call, press 

13.2 Answering / declining a call

To answer a call when your phone rings or vibrates, press
To decline a call when your phone rings or vibrates, press 
Tips:
- To mute the ringtone of an incoming call, press either of the volume keys on the left side of your 
phone.
- You can adjust the volume of your receiver during a call by pressing the volume keys on the left 
side of your phone.

13.3 Speed dial

Speed dial is a function that allows you to place a call by pressing a single key. This function is 
particularly useful for phone users who dial certain phone numbers on a regular basis.
You can assign speed dial phone numbers to these keys: 2 to 9, M1, and M2. Note that only phone 
numbers of contacts saved in the phone memory may be assigned.
To place a call using speed dial, use either of the methods below:
- From the home screen, press M1 or M2 to call the assigned phone number.
- From the home screen, press and hold a number key (2 - 9) to call the assigned phone number.
To assign a speed dial phone number to a key, use either of the methods below:
Method 1:
1. Go to MENU > Contacts > Options > Settings > Set Speed Dial.
2. Select a number key (2 - 9), M1, or M2 from the list.
3. Press the right soft key
4. Choose a contact from the contact list and press 
Method 2:
You can use this method to assign a speed dial phone number to a number key (2 - 9), M1, or M2
with no speed dial phone number assigned.
1. Return to the home screen.
2. Short press M1 or M2, or press and hold a number key (2 - 9).
3. Press the right soft key
4. Choose a contact from the contact list and press 

13.4 Voice mail

To connect to your voicemail, press and hold
