INSTALLING THE MIDDLE DRIVEN SHAFT

1. Install:
• bearing retainer
M MMM M MMM
a. Secure the bearing housing edge in the vise
with a clean rag 1.
NOTE:
Apply locking agent (LOCTITE
of bearing retainer.
b. Attach the damper rod holder 2.
c. Tighten the bearing retainer.
NOTE:
Lock the threads with a drift punch.

2. Install:

• universal joint yoke (front side)

• washer
• nut 1

NOTE:

• Use the universal joint holder 2 and attach-
ment 3 to hold the yoke.

• Apply locking agent (LOCTITE
threads.
• Lock the threads with a drift punch.
