MKA PERSONAL SAFETY ALARM
Unique Design Personal Safety Alarm

Introduction

The Defender MKA Personal Safety Alarm is a convenient, easily accessible 130dBs* alarm
designed to increase personal safety. The alarm is intended to shock an attacker giving the victim
an opportunity to escape from the scene. Do not rely on the alarm to attract help; your priority
should be to get away from the threat immediately once the alarm has been sounded.
Note:
The Defender MKA Personal Safety Alarm is designed to detach itself from the key ring attachment
once activated to ensure the user does not need to leave their keys at the scene of the incident.

Operation of the alarm

1. To operate the alarm, simply pull the key ring out of the socket.
2. To stop the alarm sounding, replace the key ring pin into the socket on the base of the alarm.

Test button

On the underside of the Defender MKA Personal Safety Alarm is a test button. Use the test button
regularly to test the remaining battery strength. Do not use the test button as an alternative in case
of emergency. If you feel unsafe in any circumstance, activate your alarm.

Battery replacement

It is recommended that the alarm is tested regularly. If the alarm sounds weak, the batteries should
be replaced. To replace the batteries, remove the screws from the back cover and replace the
batteries noting the correct polarity. The unit operates by 2 x LR44 (or equivalent) button batteries.

WARNING

The high output siren fitted to this quality personal alarm may cause ear damage if used at
close range for a prolonged period of time. Keep away from children and pets ears. This
product is designed for use as a deterrent; it does not guarantee protection or personal safety.
