The Set dB level adjusts the output level of the selected channel module to
the input requirements of the connected telephone equipment. The Rcv dB
output level should be adjusted at both ends of the CELP Voice Channel
Module.
Note, the Rcv dB level is not considered a test but an adjustment. The
nominal Receive level (0 dBm or + 7.0 dBm) is set by switch S1-8 on the
CELP Voice Channel Module. You may adjust that level through software
within the range of +1.5 to –6.0 dB in 0.5 dB steps.
The test points located at the bottom of the front panel provide access to in-
put/output signals. The VF analog signals are isolated via a l0-kilohm
resistor and are suitable for bridge measurement of VF levels. Section 3
of this manual contains descriptions of each module's front panel indica-
tor, including the test points. The following test points are found on the
CELP Voice Channel Module's front panel:

VFIN
TP2
VFOUT
TP1
GND
The voice signals in and out of the channel should be present at the VFIN
and VFOUT test points.
