target surface that could serve as a reflector. This measuring procedure can only be em-
ployed vertically. Any horizontal deviation will lead to measurement errors.
For indirect length measurements, three measuring modes are available. Each measur-
ing mode can be used for determining different distances.
a) Indirect height measurement
Press the button (k) and select the button for indirect height measurement
Ensure that the measuring tool is at the same height as the lower measuring point.
b) Double indirect height measurement
Press the button (k) and select the button for double indirect height measurement .
Ensure that the reference level for the measurement (e.g. the rear edge of the measuring
tool) remains in exactly the same place for all the individual measurements in a single
measuring process.
c) Indirect length measurement
Press the button (k) and select the button for indirect length measurement
Ensure that the measuring tool is at the same height as the required measuring point.
Inclination measurement
Press the button (k) and then select the button for inclination measurement
Grade measurement is used to measure a slope or incline (e.g. of
stairs, railings, when fitting furniture, laying pipes, etc.).
The left-hand side of the measuring tool serves as the reference level
for inclination measurement. If no incline angle is shown on the dis-
play, the measuring tool was tipped sideways too severely during
measurement.

Digital spirit level
Press the button (k) and then select the button for the digital spirit level
The digital spirit level is used to check the horizontal alignment of an
object simultaneously on two axes (e.g. washing machine, refriger-
ator, etc.).
The rear of the measuring tool serves as the reference level for the di-
gital spirit level.
You can hold the current measured value by pressing the measuring
button (1) or the button
