Possible Cause
Your subject was not in
the center of the frame.
There was not enough
light.
The flash was on, but
the subject was too far
away.
Solution
The camera focuses on the object in the center of the
frame. For best results, compose your photo with your
subject in the center of the frame.
Point the camera at a subject in the center of the photo
and press the shutter button half way down until the
green light appears. Re-aim your camera at your
intended subject and press the shutter button all the
way down.
Wait for natural lighting conditions to improve or use
the flash to illuminate your subject.
The flash can only illuminate objects that are within 2–
8ft. (.6–2.5 m) of the camera. Make sure your subject is
within range of the flash when you take the photo.
