Blast Freezer
A small screwdriver, shipped with the operating manual, is provided for
setting the temperature setpoint.
The blower control system consists of a door interlock switch and a
thermostat. The thermostat prevents the blower from operating until the
System
refrigeration coil temperature reaches approximately 5°C to prevent warm
air from circulating in the freezer.
The momentary door switch shuts off power to the cabinet blower during
door openings.
The Mode Select switch has three positions; ON, OFF and DEFROST.
When the switch is set to ON, power is applied to the refrigeration system
and the refrigeration indicator lights. The freezer will reach -50°C in about
20 minutes (with a pre-cooled cabinet).
When the switch is set to OFF (center), all freezer circuits are de-energized.
When the switch is in the DEFROST position, the defrost indicator lights
and the circulation blower activates. The freezer will warm to room
temperature. The door should be left open during defrost operation.
Note When the freezer reaches approximately 5°C, the blower turns off.
The defrost indicator remains on whenever the mode switch is in the
defrost position.
