INSTALLING MAIN MEMORY

The HP Vectra VE 5/xx series 2 PC has three memory banks each comprising two memory
sockets. These banks are labelled A, B and C on the system board.
A maximum of 128 MB main memory is supported.
When additional memory modules are installed, the following rules must be applied:

Memory modules must be installed in pairs .

The two modules sharing a bank must be identical .
3
Different banks can contain memory module pairs of different sizes.
4
Install only 4 or 16 MB memory modules in bank C.
The following tables suggest upgrade paths from the initial 8 or 16 MB main memory provided
as standard.
