series 2 PC
This guide is for experienced HP Support Center personnel CEs and reseller technicians.
That is, personnel who have already completed the HP Vectra PC family training course, or
equivalent, and have at least six months of experience servicing the HP Vectra PCs.
It is a self-paced training guide designed to train you to install, configure, and repair the PC.
You can follow it without having any equipment available.

    All models with 16 MB of main memory are pre-loaded with selectable Windows 95 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11 software. • HP does not recommend using Windows 95 on a PC with only 8 MB of main memory. The HP Vectra VE 5/xx series 2 PC has a socket for a 256 KB second-level cache memory module. There are two modules available, a 256 KB asynchronous cache memory module (D4049A) or a 256 KB synchronous cache memory module (D3659A).

    Plug and Play The HP Vectra VE 5/xx series 2 PC has a “PnP level 1.0A” BIOS and meets the “Windows 95 Required” level for Plug and Play. Accessory boards which are Plug and Play are automatically configured by the BIOS (Windows 3.11) or by the operating system (Windows 95).
