    OPERATION Placement Ensuring there are no obstructions around, place the appliance on a flat surface. Powering on/off Tap the power button to turn on the dehumidifier. The power indicator light will then turn on. If used before, the dehumidifier will operate in the mode before it was last turned off. To turn it off, tap the power button again.
  • Page 10 Modes This appliance features three modes: • Continuous dehumidification • Comfort • Custom Continuous dehumidification mode Once the appliance is turned on, if no buttons are pressed, it automatically operates in continuous dehumidification mode. The appliance will dehumidify the area until it is turned off, or the setting is changed.
  • Page 11 Setting the timer The timer can be set to turn off the dehumidifier after a specified period. 1. Tap the timer button once and the appliance will make a buzzing sound. 2. Adjust the time by using the left and right adjustment keys. The timer can be set between 0–24 hours.

    Install App Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). Register If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS. To register: 1. Tap to enter the registration page.
  • Page 14 Set device in pairing mode When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (Wi-Fi indicator light is flashing rapidly). If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by holding down the timer button for five seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator light is flashing rapidly.

Note: If the Wi-Fi hotspot does not appear on your phone in the list of available networks, your device may not be set in AP Pairing Mode correctly.

    1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the ‘Add and manage’ page. 2. Select ‘Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select ‘Have something already set up?’ 3. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
  • Page 20 4. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices. 5. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.

    MAINTENANCE Guidelines regarding appliances with R290 refrigerant Checks to the area Prior to beginning work on systems containing flammable refrigerants, safety checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignition is minimised. For repairs to the refrigerating system, the following precautions shall be completed prior to conducting work on the system.
  • Page 27 Ventilated area Ensure that the area is in the open or that it is adequately ventilated before breaking into the system or conducting any hot work. A degree of ventilation shall continue during the period that the work is carried out. The ventilation should safely disperse any released refrigerant and preferably expel it externally into the atmosphere.
  • Page 28 Repairs to sealed components During repairs to sealed components, all electrical supplies shall be disconnected from the equipment being worked upon before any removal of sealed covers, etc. If it is necessary to have an electrical supply to equipment during servicing, then a permanently operating form of leak detection shall be located at the most critical point to warn of a potentially hazardous situation.
