Problems with Starting Up, Shutting Down, and Sleep and Hibernation Mode
Depending on the floppy disk you are using, the computer may not boot
properly.
The operation is confirmed by Panasonic USB floppy disk drive (optional:
CF-VFDU03U) when the computer boots from the floppy disk.
Turn off the computer, and reconnect the external floppy disk drive.
Check that the boot disk is correctly inserted.
Run the Setup Utility, and confirm the following settings.
[USB Port] is set to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu.
[Legacy USB Support] is set to [Enabled] in the [Advanced] menu.
[Boot Mode] is set to [Normal] in the [Boot] menu.
[USB Floppy Disk] is the first device shown in [Boot Option #1] in the [Boot]
menu.
During the next startup only, when starting up from the floppy disk, select
the device name (example: [MATSHITAFDD XXXXX]) of the floppy disk drive
displayed under [Exit] menu - [Boot Override], and press
[Boot Mode] can also be configured in Quick Boot Manager. Disable the Easy
quick boot mode, or disable [initialization at startup (Boot Mode)] in the Detailed
quick boot wizard.
Try logging on with the user name from before the change.
User names are managed using 2 name types, "First Name" and "Full Name."
This problem may be eliminated by adding external memory.
If you install resident software after purchasing this computer, disable the
resident software.
Defragment the disk with the Disk Defragmenter.
If Windows startup is slow, perform the following operations.
Using Quick Boot Manager, reduce the wait time between the time you turn on
the computer and the time Windows launches.
You can use Boot Training to reduce the startup time of Windows.

Set [Boot Mode] to [Fast] in the [Boot] menu of the Setup Utility.

Setting [Fast] will skip the [Panasonic] boot screen displayed immediately after
the computer is turned on. The time required to display the Windows boot screen
will become shorter.
Since the [Panasonic] boot screen is not displayed, press and hold
and turn the computer on to start the Setup Utility.
Select [Diagnostic Utility] in [Exit] menu to start the PC-Diagnostic Utility.
By setting [Boot Mode] to [Fast], you can not execute the following operations:
The startup from USB devices and LAN.
Operating the Setup Utility or entering the supervisor and user passwords by
using the external keyboard.
The processing speed depends on the software application used, so this
operation may not cause the processing speed to increase.
