Slide the battery pack in parallel
with the arrow direction and
attach it so that the left and right
dents on the battery pack match
the projections of the computer.
Be careful about the battery pack direction.

In case that the projection does not match the
dents of the battery pack, detach the battery
pack once, then slide it while pushing it lightly
to avoid floating.

Confirm that the latch is properly
locked.
The latches are locked automatically.
If it is not, the battery pack may come off while
you are carrying the computer.

Connect the AC adaptor.
NOTE
If the RAM module has not been inserted
properly, or if a RAM module other than one
matching the specifications has been inserted,
nothing may be displayed on the screen even
after the computer is turned on. If this happens,
turn off the computer, check that the RAM
module is the recommended module, and reinstall
the module correctly.

Confirm the total size of memory

If the RAM module is recognized correctly, the total
size of this computer's memory and RAM module
memory is displayed on the [Information] menu of
the Setup Utility. (  page 52)

Removing the RAM Module

Take the following steps to remove the RAM
module after the step 2- 5 under "Inserting the
RAM Module".

Carefully open the left and right
hooks.
The RAM module will be raised.

module from the slot.

Set the cover and battery pack
back, then connect the AC
adaptor. (
