Helpful Tips

Cartridge Storage
Stage ingredient cartridges and
rotate products properly "fi rst
in, fi rst out."
Always ensure back stock
levels are adequate. AA, BB,
and CC cartridges are
frequently used, and it is critical
that enough of these ingredient
cartridges are in stock. (See
page 9 for more info on
managing cartridges.)

BIB Storage
HFCS has a high viscosity, so
it's critical BIBs are placed on
the slanted back room rack
with the fi tment facing
downward. This allows gravity
to help ensure every bit of
sweetener is used.
NNS has a shelf life of only 75
days. Keep this in mind to avoid
over-ordering and out-of-stock
issues.
False Sold Outs
Sometimes an ingredient will
appear to be unavailable, but
priming the ingredient cartridge
will remove trapped air from
the line and clear out a false
'Sold Out' message. Follow the
priming procedure (see page
10) if you believe that a
cartridge is not empty.
Cleaning the
Cartridge Slot
The Freestyle® at McDonald's
dispenser is built to be as
compact as possible. Because
of this, cartridge slots are very
narrow, making it hard to reach
the probes for a proper
cleaning. When replacing a
cartridge, you may decide to
remove the cartridge below it to
allow more room for properly
cleaning the probes in the back
of the cartridge slot.
