Notes for Software

To use the Microfilm Scanner 800II in Scanner mode, the
"Scanning Utility 800" and the "CapturePerfect 1.0"
supplied with the scanner, an ISIS/TWAIN driver and an
ISIS-compatible application software, or a TWAIN-com-
patible application software are required.
NOTE
• "CapturePerfect 1.0" supplied with this package
is a TWAIN-compatible application software.
• No software is required to use the scanner in
DMP mode.

Installing the Software

This section describes the procedure to install the, "ISIS/
TWAIN driver", "CapturePerfect 1.0", and "Scanning
Utility 800".
IMPORTANT
• If you are using Windows 2000 Professional or
Windows XP, be sure to log on as an administrator.
• If another ISIS-compatible driver is already in-
stalled in your computer, you must back up the files
listed below. These files may be overwritten when
you install the ISIS/TWAIN driver.
C:\Windows\System\Pix*.dll
C:\Windows\Pixtran\*.*
The name of the "\Windows" and "\Windows\System"
folder varies, depending on which version of Windows
you are using. Substitute the above folder names
accordingly with the folder names for Windows used
on your system.

Turn on your computer. Windows starts.

Load the setup disc in the computer's CD-ROM drive.

On the Start menu, Click "Run".
